In the Followup on our last Kitchen Sink post this is the second posting in the series and with that we come to a point were I do agree with the commenter and not with the original Author.
God gave us great sweeteners, as mentioned in His Holy Word, Honey, herbs and plants (cane and stevia p.e.).

I think, that calling myself a runner is an OK statement, calling myself a geek, yeah that is ok too.
Thus running and geek results in gadgets and tools, statistics and analysis.
One of the tools I use is myfitnesspal, and sometimes they do have great articles, even some I agree with (ok, that was a funny, )
As I believe and have written many times about healthy and unhealthy food, one of my main statements always is "if God created something, who do we think we are that we can improve on it."
Everything but the Kitchen Sink, Hmmmmm ???Ok, What about running, what about food, what about a little bit of everything.
Until about a, let's say 3 years ago I thought that the gym and running was absolutely only for yuppies and people that didn't have a life.
A great misunderstanding as I now exercise aproximately 5 times a week.
My beloved wife had a stroke 2 years ago and physical exercise at the terapist was very important for her recovery.
As with everything only a small amount of physical therapist visits are approved with a health insurance plan.
However the need to keep up with this therapy and exercise is for somebody that had a stroke more important then anything else.
Now however when I do not go to the gym I miss it very much.
Today we went back after a week of endulging and relaxation, this resulted in very heavy breathing and limited speed and endurance.
What a lot of people forget is that not going to church, or not praying with the family at the dinner table, or missing out on bible study, or talking openly about God and Praying with our spouse is a lot like not going to the gym for a week.
Stumbling over words, difficulty breathing in the presence of God, instead of feeling elated, being uncomfortable because we missed out much.
It is much easier to just not go or do it at all, with the result that we grow fat in our relation ship with the world, like growing fat from over endulging on restaurant food.
It all seems nice and fine, but being fast and lean and healthy even when the exercise might hurt a bit now and then is much better for your body then obesity, and excessive weight.
Going to church and prayer might hurt some times as we are confronted with our shortcommings, but in the long run, it is much better for our general health.
I do not even have to tell you that doing both then will help us absolutely in the physical and the spiritual.
Building up our bodies to be a temple of the Holy Spirit in both the physical and spiritual realm.
I hope that you will endulge me and enjoy this blog with health, spiritual, technical and all kinds of uplifting but also correcting tidbits.
